3:16 am my time and still up. Yep, reading band slash. This could be a problem. :-p

I'm also contemplating getting a paid account again. I'm tired of my 6 icons, to be honest. I miss my big batch of crazy H/D and other stuff that's uploaded here that I can't use. But I don't want any stupid adds with the plus option, so paid is looking mighty fine. I'd have to update LJ more and be around all the LJ comms I'm in, which I haven't done in forever. When I updated earlier, I completely forgot how to do do LJ tags. Had to dig for the lj cut tag. Goes to show how long I was gone from here. That, and tagging an image to the post. Forgot that too.

Maybe a 2 month trial with free piccies? Must think some more on this.

So I get my little FedEx package this afternoon, and I do a happy dance because my Adobe CS 2 is here. All is well.

Cue to now, where it's brought me near to tears. I couldn't stall it all at once because I don't have enough RAM, apparently (I thought 256 was enough, guess not) so I figure, hey, disk by disk is all cool. Yah, right. I entered the serial number for InDesign and it told me it was invalid. Cue screaming. Lather, rinse, repeat - always repeat.

I have to call tomorrow for the support center because if I do it now, off hours, they'll charge me extra (WTF?)

I need to get off the intrawebs stat before I kill stuff.

Funny though, in a very odd way.

Memo to neighborhood asshats, 4th of July passed. As in, it was over quite a number of hours ago. Why are you still detonating your stash of illegal fireworks? Quit hurting my ear drums!

Gonna have my first meeting for the show next Saturday. I also get to pay them $300 to be in there. I gets perks, forget what they are. I said it at one time or another.

Need to finish one dress for the school show by this time next week for the photoshoot. I've so been slacking on that, but I'll do it tomorrow for sure.

Dropped off my media kit this morning. Now, I have to wait until mid July to see if I made the cut. The show is in late August. That means IF I'm picked, I have less than a month to whip out 3 runway-worthy garments, not to mention work on the 5 that are due for the school show.

The organizers of this? Not very with the head smarts.

I hope I get in. I just don't know.

Now, off to get Hannah's pEU books off the bookshelf so I can gain a foot of room for more fascinating stuff. No intrawebs for me tonight, I think.

She erased my review! *giggle* There's probably a huge author's rant in her latest "chapter" which I won't read till later tonight, I have to go drop off my media kit.

The Project Runway Factor.

So I said a while ago that I'd signed up for 3 shows. I dropped one because I would have killed myself in an awesomely gruesome fashion if I'd stayed. Tonight, tonight was interview night for show #2.

I didn't count with the Project Runway factor.

We had cameras. Real tv/movie cameras with lighting, and those mikes that tv people wear. We were interviewed 3 seperate times. Pre-interview, the interview with the panel where you show off your portfolio, and post interview to talk about how the whole process went.

Nerve wracking. Seriously.

I was so nervous, and worried about the whole damn thing. We didn't find out until 6 pm today. TODAY. No pressure, eh? There were a few people from other sorrounding schools. We were waiting around for the crew to set up everything for over an hour and a half, so we didn't start until 7:30 or so. I was there until just past 10 tonight.

And the kicker? Ah yes. There are only 10-12 slots available for us students. Those slots are to be spread out for 5-8 schools. So, 1-2 people per school. Competition is tight, and ARGH. I was just juried in Febraury, and damn am I fucking sick of it. I know that we get incredible perks if we're chosen. Got it, understand, ditto, right on, I salute you, etc. But dude, they're being such hardasses, and I'm under enough stress right now, I don't need anymore.

And d00d. D00D!!!!! If I make it in a week, it's only the SEMI-FINAL cut. I can still be cut! D00d. D00d!!!

And they're thinking of pitching this footage to local tv stations! One of the camera crew dudes was from Project Runway. Yargh, that's going to replace the whale in my nightmares. [/Sea Captain]

The world is determined to spoil me to Episode III.

My resolve hasn't wavered one iota, and every time the words Star Wars come up in radio, telly or internet, I shut my eyes, cover my ears and just click back/change channel/etc.

But you can't always ignore food. Thank goodness that chip display I passed yesterday had no truly spoilerific images. And TV Guide, thank you for having your cover be hologramatic/blurry so I couldn't see. Short of sticking my body in a Unibomber-esque shack, I must remain ever vigilant until the lights are dimmed in the theater. Oy.

I'm also up shit creek with stress. 3 fashion shows, with one of them being in less than a month away. I'm so very with the head smarts.

1st model fitting is this coming Saturday. For 2 shows. Argh. I have so much on my plate now, I want to die.

This'll all be worth it someday. It will, it will, it will, it will. I'll just have to keep that particular needle in the groove so I can stave off the mental breakdown coming over the horizon. Just.

Bone tired.

14 straight hours of sewing today, coupled with 12 hours yesterday, and about 9 the day before that, and before that... You get the drift.

It's almost done though. 1st muslins are almost done. Sooooo sooo tired. And I haven't even done homework for any of my classes because this has been consuming me.

Lyn, I'll try to do your thingie within the next couple of days. Sorry it's taking me so long, but this has just taken over my life. :-\ That is, of course, if you still want me to.

Portfolio is going to kick my butt this quarter, I know this.

Muslins are coming along. Just. 1 outfit is 2/3 done, all it needs is the sleeev and collar attached. Another outfit just has the pants. 2 more are in the part drafting/draping/pattern stage, yet to be shown.

They're due the 21-22. I have less than 3 weeks to make it presentable for the model call. *whimper*

And Yuppo, I say again. Britney Spears will so name her new kid YAYUPPO SPEARS-FEDERLINE. Because that? Would be so damn cool.

I would mock for the rest of my natural life. Can't be any worse than Apple. Mwah!

ETA: Why does the "bored" mood bear looks like he's crying? Unless it implies that his tears are from all the yawning he's doing. The eternal question that will not be answered. Mmm.
